I work fulltime and am an amateur HTML/CSS user, so this website is updated sporadically. GirlInside is a neverending project meant to showcase and keep my learning of HTML, CSS, and general graphic design growing. It is also serves as the ultimate place to get to know me without knowing me. I move at my own pace as this is just a place for me to yell into the void, so please excuse any broken or unfinished links. I hope you enjoy the stay!

girlinside was previously sheepish, but after wanting a total rebrand i moved to here! the name itself is meant to be a play on words. i am literally a girl, inside of my bedroom, making this site. but it's also the inside thoughts of a girl (me.) maybe a little dumb, but it's stuck around this long and i don't see myself changing it now. although, i did think of rebranding as "yawna" as a play on my name and the fact i'm quite sleepy most of the time. anyways, I've only been on neocities for two years but I've come to learn a lot when it comes to how the community here runs. i'll proudly stand on my belief that copying is an act of love. we are all here to share our truest selves and to become angry at someone "copying" you (how original can you be?) is a waste of energy and goes to show that maybe you do not have as stable an identity as you claim to have. as neocities continues to grow, it will reach individuals who may be young and easily impressionable. this does lead to copying, but it is a simple task for the adult in the situation to be the bigger person and allow them to find themself even if it means they be copying your layout or 'about me' wording. i just want everyone to remember when they were little kids, trying to draw in the style of their favorite cartoons. creativity needs to find a spot in the ground to root itself before it can grow.

I got to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends a few days ago! I love seafood so we went out to get some and I was treated to a very yummy but filling dinner. This a photo I took my friends' taiyaki desserts we had after dinner. I did not get one but I did get a bite of everyone's. I feel like a seal whenever I'm with this group, every time I laugh I tend to clap. I had a great night and am now sipping matcha made with the matcha whisking set I was gifted this night. It feels great to be surrounded with people whom I love!
